Our own call centre softphone

Download Ornate Connect

Runs on Windows, macOS and Linux. The mobile app is on the way.

Finding the right version for your device…

The Ornate Connect sign-in window in its light theme: extension and password fields, a QR sign-in option, and the panel beside it listing HD voice, encrypted calls and one extension across desk phone, desktop and mobile. The same Ornate Connect sign-in window in its dark theme.
Ornate Connect — the sign-in window. Your extension and password, or a QR code.
Inside the app

The everyday work of a call centre

Calls in and out

Dialpad, real hold, mute and speaker — and when a call arrives a card floats up in the corner, where you answer or decline it.

Transfer and conference

Send it straight through, or ask the third person first and then hand over. Merge puts all three in one room — the server mixes it, not your computer.

Call waiting

A second call is not turned away — it waits. One tap swaps between the two, and both timers keep running.

Clean audio

Room noise, fan hum and echo are cut away, so the other side hears only you.

Live monitor

Which calls are running now, who is online, which trunks are alive — all inside the app, for the people you allow.

Recordings, voicemail, chat

Play your own calls back, listen to voicemail, message colleagues, and keep an address book of saved numbers.

Getting started

From download to first call — two steps

How to install

    Signing in the first time

    1. Enter your extension number — the one we gave you.
    2. Enter the password and press LOG IN. The app finds the server address itself — there is nothing to type.
    3. On a second computer you can sign in with a QR code instead. The code carries no password and stops working after two minutes.
    4. Allow the microphone when it asks. A green light at the bottom means you are connected.

    Questions

    What people usually ask

Is there a separate charge for the app?
No. It comes with every extension on our PBX solution — there is no separate licence fee.
Why does Windows warn me on a blue screen?
Windows does not recognise new software yet, so it shows this. It is not a virus warning — click More info, then Run anyway.
Why does my Mac say the app is from an unidentified developer?
The app is not signed with an Apple developer certificate yet, so macOS stops it the first time. Right-click the app, choose Open, then Open again — do it once and it opens normally from then on.
Can one extension run on a computer and a desk phone at once?
Yes. The desk phone and the app both ring on the same number; answer on whichever you like.
Do calls arrive when the app is closed?
Closing the window leaves it running in the tray and calls still arrive. Quitting it fully stops them.
How much internet does it need?
About 100 kbps in each direction per call — ordinary broadband, or a decent mobile connection, is enough.
When is the mobile app coming?
The Android and iPhone apps are being built. They will appear on this page when they are ready.
